What We Do

We are experienced attorneys offering legal services throughout the State of Wisconsin.

Steven L. Miller specializes in appellate practice in the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  He offers services directly to clients who want their cases appealed or to trial lawyers in a consulting capacity. He will litigate your appeal; evaluate for appellate merit; or work with trial counsel to preserve issues for appeal.  He will also assist with trial level motions, briefs, research and writing.  Steven has more than 22 years of experience handling civil and criminal appeals and has successfully litigated in excess of a hundred of cases from postverdict through appeal.

Nancy B. Miller practices exclusively in the area of termination of parental rights. Since 1990 she has successfully brought to judgment in excess of 200 involuntary termination cases, many of them involving the Indian Child Welfare Act.  She also has extensive experience as a trainer for Child Protection Social Workers and is available to consult on ongoing CHIPS cases.  At present Nancy has is contracted with more than 11 Wisconsin county human services departments to litigate their termination cases, and she also serves private clients seeking termination outside of the juvenile system.
